Blanks
For those who wish to do it themselves, we offer a means to get you started. We offer billets, forged blanks, and scraped metal pieces that will make for any fine blade. All you really need is a file and some patients and you will be creating your own blades in no time. These pieces come with and without being heat treated so that shaping and cutting into the metal will be easy for those who do not have access to power tools and quick for those who do.
High Carbon, Railroad Spike Knife Blanks
Approximately 7.7 x 1.5 x 1
These knife blanks are made with 100% high carbon steel railroad spikes bought directly from the railroad company. No heat treatment has been done so those who wish to change, or work the metal further can easily do so. The high carbon content is what allows the blade to be heat treated to prevent dulling and edge roll. Each spike blank comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, some with twisted handles and others without. Blanks will be selected at random.
